A birthday surprise worthy of the «dessert connoisseur of Fontaine».
In a sense, Furina has been an actress all her life – perhaps even the greatest of all time, considering she maintained the façade of a god for more than five centuries. To save Fontaine from extermination, Focalors, the true Hydro Archon, separated her own divinity from her body and spirit, leaving Furina as the Archon’s body and spirit but powerless within. Though she upheld the act and successfully prevented the prophecy, the burden took its toll, leaving her haunted by self-esteem issues and paranoia.
The Stage Calls Again
Fortunately, she was freed from her role as acting Archon. At first, Furina struggled with her newfound freedom, fearing she was no longer needed. She even planned to retire from the stage because of her troublesome past. In a turn of events, however, Furina had no choice but to stand in for the lead in the musical The Little Oceanid. Though hesitant at first, performing as Clio rekindled her love for acting – even leading to Furina receiving a Hydro Vision. She spent all night studying it, which ended up flooding the entire building.
A Celebration Fit for a Star
Thousands of fans around the world are celebrating Furina’s birthday in their own creative ways – sharing fanart, posting heartfelt wishes, and even baking cakes in her honor. With disarming sincerity, she expressed her gratitude: «Everyone really went all out for my birthday! Well then, as a seasoned dessert connoisseur of Fontaine, I suppose it's my duty to give these a proper taste!» Hopefully, all these heartfelt birthday wishes and gifts will help Furina on her journey to better understand human emotions.
The Praise She Deserves
Once maintaining the guise of an Archon, Furina now stands before the world as herself – imperfect and real. Her long journey of self-discovery has made her realize that she no longer needs to live in solitude, pretending to be something she isn’t. As one devoted fan beautifully put it: «You have always deserved the world’s love, though the world could never match the love you gave.» May Furina live life to the fullest and make the most of the freedom she has gained. All the world’s your stage!
